Join our DBT group to find stability, become more assertive and be able to better tolerate stress within yourself and relationships. DBT stands for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and was originated by Marsha Linehan. The major focus of DBT is core mindfulness, interpersonal communication, emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills. These skills help you to become more aware of and acknowledge what you are feeling, to find stability with the emotions that seem to overwhelm or have control over you, communicate clearly and effectively while maintaining your self respect, better tolerate difficulties within yourself and around you in addition to connecting more and enjoying life itself. This group is fairly structured and runs once a week. It is possible to join the group to learn the skills in one section but it is encouraged you join for the entire series which takes about 14-16 weeks to complete.
